L'Afrique sportive est entrée en scène aujourd'hui sur les magnifiques sites de la Cité Olympique d'Alger, la Blanche : judo, tennis, natation, escrime, boxe, ...
Les grands du football africain - Tunisie, Cameroun, Algérie - ont débuté victorieusement le tournoi mais les choses sérieuses seront surtout pour ces prochains jours.
Et première médaille d'or pour le pays hôte: la judoka algérienne Rachida Ouardane remporte la compétition de judo (catégorie -70kg) devant la sénégalaise Gisel Mendy par Ippon.
Alger est en fête avec 9 700 participants : un record pour les Jeux Africains !

Africa Sports came on stage today with in judo, swimming, boxing, football, fencing in the great olympic venues of Algiers.
The famous soccer countries - Algeria, Tunisia, Cameroon - won their first matches... However, real challenges will begin in few days for them...
And first gold medal for the hosting country : Rachida Ouardane (ALG) win the judo competition (-70kg) defeating Gisel Mendy (SEN) with Ippon.
Algiers welcomes around 9 700 athletes : a record for the All Africa Games!
